2009-10-20: New 6.0.0 Release
This release includes a Faceted Data-Exploration Engine, DBMS-hosted Public-Key Infrastructure for FOAF+SSL-based federated Identity; support for `ANY ORDER' and anytime queries; key compression; transitive subqueries in SQL, SPARQL and SPASQL; an enhanced Sponger middleware layer.
2009-10-19: New 5.0.12 Release
This release includes PKI support in the Conductor, failover/round-robin support in all clients, a refactored JDBC driver, SPARQL graph-level security, a new RDFa parser, optimizations to the SPARQL engine, new Sponger Cartridges for OpenOffice, Google apps and Picasa, Yelp, Tesco, GoodRelations, Geonames, Alchemy, amongst others; in the ODS application suite there is support for expirations and conversations, the hCard microformat. There are fixes for XA support, memory leaks, RDF View generation, OpenID, atom-publishing upstreaming of attachments, and other minor bugs.

2009-04-24: Release v6.0-TP1
OpenLink Virtuoso Open Source Edition v6.0 Technology Preview 1 introduces a new branch for Virtuoso development incorporating: ANY ORDER queries, Anytime queries, client-level resource accounting, expressions in the "IN" predicate, a Facet Browsing Engine, Inverse Functional Property Value enhanced Identity, Key compression and Transitive subqueries in both SQL and SPARQL.
