2008-08-27: Release v5.0.8
This version exposes Self-Join optimizations at JDBC Driver level (as was already the case with ODBC). SPARQL engine and SPARQL-BI extension optimizations have been incorporated. The TriG? serialization format for RDF is now supported alongside RDFa, N3, Turtle, and RDF/XML. There are additional Sponger Cartridges for Digg, FriendFeed?, and CrunchBase? and improved graph quality from existing Cartridges (especially Freebase, eBay, Amazon, Google, Yahoo). Improved handling of and bug fixes relating to the SPARQL `OPTIONAL' keyword. There is also a more flexible Mapping service model using the new OAT-based Mapping Control (which also includes a "province" locator); minor fixes include Gem URLs for Atom, RSS, and RDF feeds.
2008-07-17: Release v5.0.7
This release includes new fully operational Native Graph Model Storage Providers for the Jena & Sesame Frameworks. Improvements: better support for alternate RDF indexing schemes; parallelization of RDF sponger operations; new Sponger Cartridges; inference engine optimizations for subclass and subproperty efficiently handling large taxonomies. Documentation: howto information on reading query-plans, diagnosing SPARQL queries and updated RDF View example based on Northwind. Bug Fixes: improved argument-checking in built-in functions; UTF8 international character support in RDF, SQL, SPARQL.
